Privacy Policy

Effective date: 30 October 2025

Last updated: 30 October 2025

At Koseisa, we prioritise your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your data across our platforms.

Koseisa is a product of Kwuva Limited, a company registered in Nigeria with its registered office at 31 Aviation Quarters, Kano, Nigeria. In this policy, "Koseisa", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Kwuva Limited. "You" and "your" refer to any person using our website at www.kwuvainc.com, our mobile application, or any other service we operate. We refer to all of these together as the Service.

Kwuva Limited is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. This means we decide why and how your data is processed, and we are accountable for it under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

This policy applies to everyone who uses Koseisa. Whether you are buying and learning on the platform, or creating and selling on it, the same policy covers you. Some sections describe data we only collect from creators, such as payout and identity details, but there is no separate policy and no separate process depending on how you use the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in the way this policy describes. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Service.

Information We Collect

We collect information both directly from you and automatically as you use the Service. Some of it you give us directly. Some of it is collected automatically as you use the Service. A small amount comes from trusted third parties who work with us.

Information you give us

Account information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, password, and account details. Depending on how you sign up, we may also collect your phone number and country.

Profile and store information

If you set up a public profile or store, we collect the display name, store profile, store photo, biography, and any links or descriptions you choose to display. This information is visible to other users, including anyone who visits your profile or store.

Creator and payout information

If you sell on Koseisa, we collect the details needed to pay you. This includes bank account or mobile money account details, and identity verification details. This information is only used to confirm who you are and to meet legal obligations around fraud, money laundering, and financial regulation. We do not use it for marketing.

Identity verification information

To meet regulatory requirements around payments, we may need to verify your identity before releasing funds. This includes a government-issued identification document, a scanned or photographed copy of that document, and a photograph of you holding it. We use this information to confirm you are who you say you are and to prevent fraud, money laundering, and financial crime.

Transaction information

We keep records of when you buy and sell on the platform. This includes the products you purchased, the amount, currency, the date and time, the payment method used, and the status of the transaction. We do not store your full card number, expiry date, or security code — this is handled directly by our payment processors, who are certified to the PCI DSS standard. We receive only limited information such as the last four digits and the outcome of the payment.

Content you upload

We store the content you create or upload on the platform. This includes digital products, course materials, files, images, product descriptions, and any other material you publish or upload through the Service.

Communications

When you contact our support team, respond to a survey, or communicate with us by email or through the platform, we keep a record of that correspondence so we can help you and improve our service.

Information we collect automatically

Additionally, we may collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and interaction patterns with our website to improve our user experience and platform security, in practice this includes:

  • Usage data, such as the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, how long you spend on each page, the links you click, and other diagnostic data.
  • Device and technical data, such as your IP address, operating system, device type, unique device identifiers, screen size, and language setting.
  • Approximate location, derived from your IP address, which you allow permission at any time in your device settings.
  • Diagnostic data, such as crash reports and error logs, which help us identify and resolve problems.
  • Information collected through cookies and similar technologies, described in section 4.

Information we receive from others

  • Payment processors send us confirmation of a payment succeeded or failed, along with the payment method used and the last four digits of a card.
  • If you register or sign in using a third party service, that provider shares your name and email address, according to the permissions you grant.
  • Fraud prevention and identity verification providers confirm or flag information you have given us.
  • Analytics providers give us aggregated information about how the Service is used.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used primarily to deliver, maintain, and improve our services. This includes personalising your learning and selling experience, processing transactions securely, and communicating important updates.

Set out in full, we use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate you when you sign in.
  • Operate, maintain, and provide the features of the Service.
  • Process payments, deliver purchased products, release payouts to creators, and handle refunds, disputes, and chargebacks.
  • Verify your identity where we are required to by law, or to protect the Service.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your questions.
  • Send you service messages, such as receipts, order confirmations, security alerts, and changes to our terms. These are necessary for the Service and you cannot opt out of them while you hold an account.
  • Send you marketing messages about our products, offers, and events, where you have permission to receive them, and you can withdraw that permission at any time by unsubscribing.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and activity that breaks our terms.
  • Analyse how the Service is used so we can improve it, fix problems, and develop new features.
  • Meet our legal, tax, regulatory, and compliance obligations, and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Data is only shared with trusted providers who help us operate the platform, under strict contractual agreements. Specifically, we may share your information with:

  • Service providers who work on our behalf, including payment processors, cloud hosting and storage providers, email delivery, customer support tools, identity verification services, and analytics providers. They may only use the data we send to them to provide the service we have asked them to.
  • Buyers, where you are the creator. When they purchase your digital product, that buyer's delivery information is used only to deliver the product and to communicate with the sale.
  • Authorities and regulators, where we are required by law to disclose information, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Koseisa, our users, or others.
  • A buyer or successor, if Koseisa is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. We will notify you before your personal data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  • Anyone else you consent to, in any other case where you have given us permission.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time through your account settings. You may also request a copy of the data we hold about you.

In full, subject to the law that applies to you, your rights are:

  • Access. You can ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
  • Correction. You can ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, and to complete information that is incomplete.
  • Deletion. You can ask us to delete your personal data. Some limits apply, described below.
  • Portability. You can ask to receive a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Objection. You can object to us processing your data for certain purposes, including direct marketing.
  • Restriction. You can ask us to limit how we process your personal data while a concern you have raised is being looked into.
  • Withdrawal of consent. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
  • Complaint. You can complain to your data protection authority about how we handle your data. If you are in Nigeria, that authority is the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

How to exercise your rights

Many of these you can do yourself, immediately, in your account settings. For anything else, or if you have concerns about your privacy, please contact our team at Hello@kwuvainc.com with the subject line describing your request, for example "data deletion request".

We may ask you to verify your identity before we act, so that we do not disclose or delete someone else's data by mistake. We aim to respond to all requests within 30 working days, and in any case within the period required by applicable law.

Limits on deletion

We will delete your personal data when you ask us to, unless we are required or permitted to keep some of it. We may retain information in order to:

  • Comply with legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations.
  • Resolve disputes or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
  • Enforce our terms and any agreements between us.
  • Maintain security, prevent fraud, and keep records of abuse.

Please also note that deleting your account does not end access to services you have purchased, and if you are a creator, your sales and earnings history. We will tell you if any part of your data cannot be deleted, and why.

Cookies Policy

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity and hold certain information. Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier.

Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags, and local storage, which are comparable in what they do. The cookies we use:

  • Essential cookies. These keep you signed in, keep your cart and session working, and protect against fraudulent requests. The Service does not function without them.
  • Preference cookies. These remember your settings, such as your language, currency, and display choices, so you do not have to set them again.
  • Security cookies. These help us detect suspicious activity and protect your account.
  • Analytics cookies. These help us understand how the Service is used to aggregate, which pages are visited, and where people encounter problems, so that we can improve it.
  • Advertising cookies. Where used, these help us show more relevant advertisements and measure whether they work.

Controlling cookies

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our service. Every major browser allows you to view, delete, and block cookies through settings. Where the law requires it, we will also ask for your consent before setting any cookie that is not essential, and you can change that choice at any time.

Some cookies are set by third parties whose tools we use. Those third parties handle the data they collect according to their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy.

In practice, account information is kept for as long as your account is open. Transaction and payout records are kept for longer, because tax and financial regulations require it, typically 10 years after the transaction. Support correspondence is kept for 10 years, and analytics data is generally kept for a shorter period, and is often aggregated so it no longer identifies you.

When we no longer need your data, we delete it or anonymise it so that it can no longer be linked to you.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Your information, including personal data, may be stored and processed on servers located outside your province, or country. Data protection laws may differ from those where you live.

Our servers and service providers are hosted in Europe. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected to the standard described in this policy, including using contractual protections with the parties receiving it.

By using the Service and submitting your information, you agree to this transfer.

How We Protect Your Data

The security of your data matters to us. We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect it, including encryption of data in transit, restricted internal access on a need-to-know basis, secure credential storage, and monitoring for unusual activity.

You play a part too. Choose a strong password, do not reuse it on other sites, and do not share it with anyone. If Koseisa offers additional protection such as two-factor authentication, we strongly recommend turning them on.

No method of transmission over the internet, or of electronic storage, is completely secure. While we work hard to protect your personal information using commercially reasonable means, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at Hello@kwuvainc.com.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child without the consent of a parent or guardian, we will take steps to remove that information from our systems and close the account.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we launch new products, or to reflect a change in law.

When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date at the top. Where the change is significant, we will give you notice before it takes effect, such as through a prominent notice on the Service.

We encourage you to review this page from time to time. Changes take effect when they are posted, unless we say otherwise.
